The Juna Women Podcast is a weekly discussion where Juna Founder, Sarah Kuhn, talks to Moms about their health, work, parenting, and all the different ways they’re keeping it together.
This is Episode 07 of Season 03, Raising A Calm and Cool Baby with Little Movers PT
On today’s episode Sarah talks with Elizabeth Morel, a physical therapist and Mom who is an expert in helping other mamas raise calm, cool, and collected babies.
In this episode Sarah and Elizabeth go into detail on the topics that will help keep mamas sane and babies happy. Things like:
- -craniosacral therapy
- -how she helps mamas who are having difficulty breastfeeding
- -food sensitive babies
- -working with mamas who did not have optimal deliveries
- -what is the sign of a “tight baby”? and how do you solve it?
- -utero constraint and how it might affect the baby
- -why one baby might prefer to look to one side and nurse better on one side
- -tongue ties
- -acid reflux in babies
- -what’s a palate expander
The typical response to this is to say that your baby is colicky, but in fact there are so many reasons why your baby might be fussy– and they are all justified!
Newborns can only really communicate through crying and while it’s not the most effective form of communication, they are trying to tell you something if they are crying. It’s EXTREMELY rare for a baby to just cry for no reason. The key is to find out what’s going on.
But you don’t have to guess. This episode is GOLD if you have a fussy baby, or you are expecting. By listening now you could be way ahead of the game and anticipate some of the reasons your baby might be fussy.
